We’re 5 churches between Kettering and Wellingborough, united in our love of Christ
Our benefice was created in 2006 following the joining together of the Harrowdens and Orlingbury with Pytchley and Isham. We’re part of the Church of England in the Diocese of Peterborough. We worship together every Sunday and in the week with a traditional service of Holy Communion. In addition to Holy Communion, we have services and events that we consider church but don’t look like traditional services, such as Forest Church, Cafe Church, and Breakfast Church.
We are on a journey to deepen our faith and broaden our fellowship. Everyone is welcome at our services, and we hope that whether you’re a visitor or new to the area, you will find us warm, friendly and encouraging. If you want to find out more about what we believe, you can find out more here or visit the Church of England Website or look at the 39 Articles of Religion, which are at the back of the Book of Common Prayer.
Sundays are the main focus of the week, with a benefice communion held in one or two parishes in the morning. Alongside this, you will find other services focused more on young families; these include Forest Church at All Saints Pytchley on the 4th Sunday of each month at 3 pm. Alternatively, there is Cafe Church at St Mary’s Orlingbury on the 1st Sunday of the month at 11 am. Finally, there is Breakfast Church at St Mary’s Little Harrowden on the 2nd Sunday at 9 am. ,
Children and families are important to us; we work closely with the local schools in our Benefice, and we often visit to lead collective worship, as well as inviting the schools into church for special services at key times of year. We want everyone to feel safe and welcome in our churches. We work hard at this, and safeguarding is very important to us. All those in positions of leadership are required to have an up-to-date DBS check and to have completed the required training before they can be involved in leadership.
